I. Set Up Yuehai Research Institute for Recovery Vehicle. As the first professional research institute for the recovery vehicle in China, it has the Market Department, Design Department and Technical Department. All staff in the research institute have the senior and middle-rank technical titles, and all designs are completed on the computer. It is fully capable of autonomously developing all recovery vehicle products.

II. Professional Design. The research institute can make the professional design for lifting devices, holdup devices, hydraulic systems, vehicle bodies, accessories and refitting of chassises, and is constantly perfecting its skill for further specialization in design. It has already developed over 60 recover vehicle products from 2 tons to 60 tons of different types including the standard type, rotary-boom type, flat type, altitude-platform type, motorcycle-platform type, floodlighting type, auto tyre-clamping type and ordinary type. It can also complete the product design of special requirements within 1-2 weeks. The company has basically realized the standard, serial and universal design for recovery vehicles, and achieved more than 10 national patents for the recovery vehicle.

III. Symbol of Strength. Guang Dong Yuehai Motor Vehicle Co., Ltd. is one of the major units drafting the national automotive industrial standard for “Recovery Vehicle”.

IV. Unique Technique and First-class Facilities. This company has the advanced technology, complete facilities and high automation degree. It owns the blanking, oil-tube production, welding, mechanical processing, electrophoresis, painting, assembly, hydraulic tester, vehicle parts (other than the chassis) tester, and other semi automatic production lines and inspection equipment.

1. The underwater plasma, digital linear cutting bench, plate shears and semi automatic profile oxygen cutting are adopted for sheet blanking. The equipment for sheet forming include the oil presses of 500 tons, 315 tons and 100 tons, the bending machine of 100 tons, and other punching equipment.

2. CO₂-protective welding and argon arc welding are taken for ordinary welds, and auto welding is used for the weld no longer than 300mm. This will guarantee the welding strength no less than that of the base metal, and make the welding surface smooth and pleasing to the eye. Because all metal structures are welded by work dies, the product quality and changeability can be ensured.

3. The cycled electrophoretic flow production line can make the acid cleaning, phosphorizing and cathode electrocoating treatments for all steel structures, to prevent them from corrosion and rustiness for long times, and greatly prolong the service life of devices.
　

4. The large paint baking booth imported from Italy and the wide painting workshop make the surface paint beautiful and durable.

5. All hydraulic elements have passed the incoming inspection to 100%, and are accepted in according with the factory standard which is higher than the national standard.

6. All hydraulic steel pipes which affect the reliability of the hydraulic system most have passed the treatments under the following special processes: blasting on inner surface – acid cleaning – washing – passivation – sealing – electrophoresis. The oil tube shall also passed the processes of inner surface cleaning – drying – lubricating and rust resisting before assembly, to effectively guarantee the stability of the entire hydraulic system.

7. All vehicle parts (other than the chassis) before overall assembly shall pass the bench test. Before the formal production, each new special device shall pass 2000-3000 times of overload bench test. This standard is far higher than the requirement of 500 times stipulated in the QCT/654-2000 automotive industrial standard for “Recovery Vehicle” newly issued.

V. Strong Production Capacity. Based on the current technical level and production capacity, the company can make 1000 sets (medium-duty recovery vehicle) each year.
